Came out to perform maintenance on furnace. Customer met me at front door and showed me location of system. I inspected the filter, blower assembly, motor, electrical components, heating components, evaporator coil, heat exchanger and overall condition of equipment. Changed filters for customer. Blower capacitor is reading slightly out of tolerance, customer doesn’t want to do anything about at this time. Heat exchanger has some wear, but nothing concerning. Cleaned flame sensor and dust off the burners and components. Checked operation, amps, temperatures and gas pressure. System is heating properly at this time. Would recommend duct cleaning, but the type of ductwork seems brittle and might not be able to be cleaned.

29JAN2025 Jason Brown Arrived for second opinion on failed inducer motor. Spoke with Lamar about the breakdown, he explained that his office is looking for several quotes for the repair. I inspected the package unit and found the inducer seized. Called Rheem for pricing. I unfortunately I cannot beat the price already quoted. Though I can do an apples to apples and do the work for the quoted at the price of 764. I did not turn the equipment on as the inducer is failed once the new part is installed there may be more repairs required however I cannot know until I turn the system on. Good to meet you, and thanks for the opportunity to take a look!

Austin 1/23/25 Completed the furnace tuneup on the new 80% carrier equipment. During this visit, I went through the system thoroughly inspecting all of the mechanical parts to ensure everything was working great and during today’s visit, I did have to adjust the gas pressure down to the recommended inches of water column of gas pressure, but that is a very common occurrence on every equipment especially new ones, so I just made sure to get that taken care of during today’s visit. Then I proceeded to check everything else on the equipment and no issues were discovered on the parts everything was running in range to the speculations on the part, data plates, and the furnace data plate as well . So as of now, the furnace is working great and doing exactly what it supposed to do and I even changed out all the filters provided by me off of the truck because of her membership she gets filters, but I was able to clean off all the return vents and inside of the chases because they had a lot o

Austin 1/17/25 Completed the furnace tuneup on the downflow carrier equipment that was put in two years ago. During the visit, I went through the system, thoroughly checking all of the mechanical parts and functionality of the system through my analysis of the system and checking all of the parts there was no issues with any of the parts in the furnace. Everything was running how it should and in range, I adjusted the gas pressure on the gas valve, but that is a very normal occurrence And nothing crazy but I got it down to the range. It should be in and checked everything else including carbon monoxide and everything passed was flying colors and I provided the filters for the homeowner and he wanted to replace them himself and he went ahead and did that today while I was working on the furnace, which I appreciate it very much even though I said I would change it , he took care of it which was very nice and at the end of the visit they did not have any questions or concerns and we’re h

17JAN2024 Jason Brown Arrived for blue club fall tune up service. Spoke with the homeowner about the systems performance. They explained that it’s working well. We were out for a no heat a couple years ago and installed heat tape along their drain, and they haven’t had any problems since. After replacing the filters we cycled the system into heating at the thermostat. I then inspected the heat exchangers, capacitors, inducer gas valve ductwork, and all components at the furnace. Removed heat tape stat and installed heat tape directly to the outlet. Verified drains and heat tape operation. I then cleaned the flame sensor and set the gas pressures. After running the system in all stages I buttoned the system up and debriefed with the homeowner. Equipment is in excellent shape and heating properly at this time. Thank you!

The customer said that everything was running well and didn’t have any questions. I then inspected the package unit. The heat exchanger was in good shape and the heater components were in good shape. The system is operating correctly at this time. I also replaced the filter.

No heat. Joe(JC)R. 12/19/2024 I arrived to a call where the customer said that the furnace was lighting and was flashing a code. I found that the gas valve wasn’t opening and was get a signal from the furnace board. The system has gas to it. The customer wants to wait and make a decision on whether it or not to repair or replace the system as it is old. The customer’s only has a furnace and no AC

Austin’s 12/13/24 Completed the furnace tuneup after going through the system, thoroughly and making sure everything on the system was in manufacture specs. I did have to adjust the gas pressure on the gas valve itself for the system and I did vacuum and brush out any dust inside of the equipment and around the doors, outside of that everything else was running great and running exactly how it should. The system is fairly new and shouldn’t have problems but that is what the warranties and stuff are for in case there is issues we can resolve them and make sure it’s working great but as of now, no issues was discovered , I did change out the filter on the furnace, which was 1 )-14x25x1 and made sure it was clean and working good. Also check static pressure and temperature split and as of now all the ratings were good and no issues on the mechanical side. I had also brought up putting a surge protector on the furnace itself to help protect the expensive investment that heat and air can be

Jake Kring. 12-06-24. I arrived for a previous customer system won’t stop heating when the stat satisfies. I inspected the system with the homeowner and found the thermostat is using batteries but the thermostat is wired to run with the power of the system. We found the furnace to be dirty and the blower cap to be weak. I recommended to replace the capacitor to keep the motor running properly and to keep the proper power going to the blower motor when it cycles on and stays running. The homeowner decided to have me replace the capacitor at this time. We cleaned the system and checked all electrical components and gas pressures with the combustion readings. We found the gas pressure to be set at 2.8 IWC and the system calls for 3.2-3.8 IWC. We set the gas pressure to 3.5 IWC and let the system run and cycle off on its own to confirm that the system will cycle on and off on its own. Once the system satisfied to 68 deg we found the thermostat room temperature rose to 69 degrees as the fur

01DEC2024 Jason Brown Arrived for new customer no heat. Spoke with homeowners about the systems performance. It’s not coming on. We inspected the furnace together and found the system on lockout for failed starts. We cycled the power and watched the system start up. Found gas valve not opening. Verified voltage to valve. Spoke with homeowner about valve replacement. We decided that we’d need to think about it. Smacked gas valve with a wrench and got it to open. System is heating, but I cannot guarantee its performance. And due to its age I recommend replacing the system instead of repairing it. Attached is estimate for the gas valve. Thank you!

28NOV2024 Jason Brown Arrived for non club no heat. Spoke with homeowner about the systems performance. It’s trying to light, we can smell the gas valve opening but it does not light. Inspected equipment. Found spark igniter dirty. Discussed repairs. With permission I cleaned the igniter and cycled the system. System came on. Verified other components. System is heating at this time. I do recommend replacement as this system is nearing its end of life.

27NOV2024 Jason Brown Arrived for previous customer no heat. Spoke with homeowner about the issue. You guys repaired the outdoor unit, now it’s the indoor furnace that isn’t working. Inspected furnace found gas valve not opening with power present. Discussed repairs with homeowner. We decided to move forward with a universal gas valve. Replaced gas valve and cycled heating. Verified components at the furnace. System is heating at this time. While out homeowner showed me some damaged ductwork under the home. We decided to schedule to have it repaired. I explained that depending on the length the price may change. Will have the office call Monday. Thanks!

Came out to call for a system not heating properly. Customer stated that the system wasn’t coming on properly and he couldn’t feel any air coming from the vents. Customer showed me to thermostat and it is set to heat and calling for it, but nothing was working. Unit was on lockout due to too many fail ignition attempts. Restarted system ignition sequence over and found the unit to have a bad gas valve. Package unit is almost 20 years old and is in rough shape. Inspected the rest of the system and didn’t find any fractures in the heat exchanger at this time, but there is a lot of rust around the inducer chamber and burner cabinet. The inducer motor is a little noisy, but reading proper amps at this time. Blower motor also has oil residue on it, and showed customer each item. Discussed with customer about repair vs replacement. Let customer know that I can’t test the system fully without it operational. Customer just wanted to do the repair for now, to get them heating, and look into rep

Came out to call to replace a faulty high limit switch and also install a new uv light for customer. Pulled existing limit switch and installed new one. Cycled furnace on and checked operation, amps, temperatures and gas pressures. Made sure gas was set to correct pressures. I was able to install the new UV light with an existing mounting plate. Installed UV bulb and mounted it to the supply plenum to cover the evaporator coil. Wired the 24 volts to the control board and established power to the bulb. Cycled system again to ensure everything was working. System is now heating properly and new UV is in effect.

Tom M. 11-18-24. Non club tune up. Air filter is new. Cleaned flame sensor and adjusted gas pressure. IDM is at max amp draw at 1.4. Flue Coni’s good at 13 ppm. Inspected the heat exchanger noticed some deep rust areas but it’s not breached. Recommended upgrading the furnace due age and condition. Customer stated she going to think about it and will call in to schedule an estimate if she wants to move forward.

Jake Kring. 11-07-24. I arrived for a blue club membership fall tune up on a 20 year old system. I first inspected the furnace and scoped the heat exchanger and found a crack in the heat exchanger on a rivet. I showed the homeowner the problem and we started to discuss replacing the system. We discussed the difference in the two stage and single stage systems and we decided to install a two stage heat and cooling system. We will have to set the condenser on a new pad and move the bricks to get the condenser to fit where the old one sits. We will also run new thermostat wire to the thermostat and condenser to control the two stage heat and cooling system. We will remove the humidifier in the attic and block off the spot where it was. The homeowner has plywood on sight for us to use if we need to put a new top layer down to set the system on. This is a a downflow system in the garage and will need all height saved to get the new 4 ton system in place of the old 4 ton system. The new syst
