Jake Kring. 10-08-24. I arrived for a blue club customer summer tune up. I first spoke with the homeowner and we discussed the airflow to one half of her home and that the duct work we installed corrected that. We cycled the system on in cooling and checked the air flow and found the system to be moving air well. I then inspect the filter and found that there was a duct board wedge that was letting the filter set in place and filter air through the filter. I removed the duct board wedge and taped and sealed the area where the filter sits. I made sure the filter seals properly and will not fall through the filter housing. I then inspected the system and found the furnace heat kit to be newer and have been replaced and the blower motor bearings to be exposed. The end of the motor cap had fallen off causing the bearings to dry out. I informed the homeowner of this and explained that the system is running and the motor is running properly at this time but I expect the blower motor bearings

06SEP2024 Jason Brown Arrived for blue club summer tune up service. Spoke with Nancy about the systems performance. Homeowner stated that we replaced her ductwork and since then she has had struggled with keeping the living and kitchen comfortable. Inspected the package unit, and found all electrical components good, and amp draws within manufacture specs. I did find the Ptrap clogged. I pulled the trap and tapped out the gunk. After washing the condenser coils I cycled cooling and checked temperature deltas. 18 degree split. System is cooling at this time.

Completed condenser only install for customer. Arrived to job site and spoke with customer and confirmed install that was previously quoted by senior tech. After getting confirmation, we pumped down unit and then cut refrigerant lines off and took off original disconnect off of home. After old unit was off, we put new unit and brazed new unit on with new lineset with a new whip and disconnect while we also replaced suction line insulation. New dryer filter was added and new metering device for indoor unit was also installed. After unit was installed, we passed pressure test, vacuum and vacuum decay test before turning new unit on. -09/03/24 -Jeremiah V.

27AUG2024 Jason Brown Arrived for blue club call back on recent tune up. Spoke with Jeff about the systems performance. The AC is starting hard, and it wasn’t before yall were out. Inspected AC. Checked amps, pressures, hail guard and all components. Found hail guard damaged in the corner, and some rattle. There is a sound that seems hard on the start, I believe this is due to the pressures so equalizing before the system comes on. In rush amps and start amps are within manufacture specs. Tightened all lugs and adjusted damaged portion of the ac to reduce rattle. Inspected evap, and txv. Found no restrictions or issues visually. Offered to try a hardstart, just to help with that initial noise. Homeowner wants to think about options. System is cooling properly. Called for pricing on hail guards, replacement guards are 5-10 days out from the day they are ordered.

14AUG2024 Jason Brown Arrived for previous customer no cool. Spoke with homeowner about the systems performance. It stopped cooling about 48 hours ago. Inspected furnace evap and AC. Found high side locking cap broken in the locked position and cannot check head pressure. Found oil in evap drain pan. Tested and found leak in evap. Discussed finding with homeowner, will have office call in am to schedule warranty evap change out.

Blue club AC maintenance. Joe(JC)R. 08/14/2024 Performed full system evaluation and safety inspection. I arrived to perform the customer’s annual AC maintenance. The customer said that everything was running well and didn’t have any questions. I washed out the condenser then inspected it. The condenser was in good shape and was running well. The system as a whole is about 3 years old. I then inspected the furnace and coil. Both were in good shape and running well. I also replaced the 4 inch filter provided by the customer. The system is running well at this time.

Silver club AC maintenance. Joe(JC)R. 07/17/2024 Performed full system evaluation and safety inspection. I arrived to perform the customer’s annual AC maintenance. The customer didn’t have any questions and said that everything was running well. I washed out the condenser then checked the furnace and evaporator coil. Both were in good shape and running well. I also replaced the air cleaner media for the customer. I then checked the condenser. The condenser was running well and without any issues. Overall the system is running well and without any issues.

06JUL2024 Jason Brown Arrived for previous customer no cool. Spoke with Cathy about the systems performance. It just went out this afternoon. Inspected furnace found run cap at 4.8/5 and within manufacture tolerance. Blower motor pulling proper amps and filter clean. Inspected AC. Found run cap good, contactor good, fan running but no compressor. Back side of AC very dirty. Washed condenser coils, then checked pressures. Found pressures at 5psi. Called Ryan and discussed repairs. He said he would call back. Waited then moved inside and discussed repairs. Homeowner declined any leak search or repairs after discussing pricing. Demonstrated how to flip the disconnect as it is currently disabled to protect the compressor. Buttoned up equipment. System is not working at this time.

06-15-2024. Jake Kring. I arrived for a warranty check up. I spoke with the homeowner and she explained that she was cleaning the system and seen a wire touching a copper tube and this is the reason that they had to replace the system in the first place. I inspected the system and found the compressor wires to be rubbing on the suction line. I disconnect power to the system and removed the top of the system. I then insulated the copper pipe and keeping the wire off of the copper. I then reassembled the system and we discussed maintenance plans. We agreed to sign up on a month Club maintenance plan at this time. The labor warranty for the original one year expires next Wednesday.

Came out to perform a preventative maintenance on 3 systems at this location. Customer met me at front door and we discussed maintenance being provided today, filters, and any issues that the customer was having. Customer needed filters replaced and the only issue he’s having is with the guest house out back. They said the system seems to run past the thermostat set point and the only way to get it to stop is turning up the temperature. Told customer that I would look into it. I started with changing all the filters inside the home. Customer a has a cut to fit filter in the living room that I used a 14x25 to make it. Inspected all the indoor equipment. Blower assemblies, motors, evaporator coils, drains and overall condition of all equipment. Downstairs system needs a blower cleaning, and upstairs blower motor has minor oil residue on it. Jake Kring. 06-11-2024. I arrived for a replacement opportunity. I spoke with the homeowner and found that I and the third estimate and he will be comparing bids to see what company he will be going with. We discussed the system and how they operate and that he was looking at a two stage air conditioner but did not know what stage of furnace the system will be. I bid a two stage air conditioner and a two stage furnace. We discussed the position of the system and that it’s in a tight spot and that we would need to relocate the flue to get the system raised up to put a drain pan under the system and to get the systems to pass code. We discussed the duct work and sizing and we decided to keep the duct work the way it is and address it at a later date if it’s an issue with the new system. The new system will have a 10% discount if it’s payed in full upon completion and a 10 year parts warranty and a 1 year labor warranty. I will be following up with the homeowner on the system.

Blue shield club AC maintenance. Joe(JC)R 05/29/2024 Performed full system evaluation and safety inspection. I arrived to perform the AC maintenance. The customer didn’t have any questions or concerns for me. So I went ahead and pulled apart the condenser and washed out the condenser coil. I then checked the furnace and evaporator coil. The furnace and coil was in good shape and running well. I then checked the condenser. The condenser was mostly in good shape but the condenser capacitor was start to get weak. The system is not under warranty and the customer decided to have me put a turbo capacitor with a 5 year warranty in to replace the failing part. I replaced the part and rechecked the system. The system is operating correctly at this time.

Jake Kring. I arrived for a new customer system not cooling but running problem. I first spoke with the homeowner and she informed me that she dose not want to replace and she has had a friend filling the system up every year and she knows the system is leaking. I explained I will inspect the system and see what the condition of the system is in and see what refrigerant type it uses and I will let her know what the system will need. I found the system to be a 26 year old carrier condenser paired with a Goodman downflow set up in the closet of the garage. I found the systems to be in ruff shape and the system to be rusted. The standing pressure with the system off was 6PSI. I went to the homeowner and explained that if she is only wanting refrigerant added to the system there will be no warranty on the refrigerant or diagnostics if we do not take action on trying to find the leak and see what it will take to repair or replace the leaking component. Jake K. I arrived for a club member furnace tune up X3. I first spoke with the homeowner and she showed me the locations of the indoor systems and the filters. She explained that some filters are an odd size and she has to cut the filters to make them fit. I inspected all filters and found two filters to be an odd size and the filters were bypassing air and debris to the blower. I replaced all filters and cut two new filters that fit better in the filter grills. I should the home how to do this so when they replace the filters their self the system will be filtered better. I also found the downstairs system have a chase way between the first and second floors and this area is not sealed. I recommend to install a downflow filter base in the closet and to remove the filters in the grills. This will lower the number of filters needed and better filter the air of the home. Jake K. I arrived for a red club membership fall tune up. I fist spoke with the homeowner and we discussed the club maintenance plan and they they use to have two blue club members one for each unit and on 06-2023 they canceled both plans and on 07-2023 they purchased one red club membership plan for one unit. I only preformed a red club maintenance plan on the upstairs unit. I inspected the system and found the 16 year old unit to be in bad condition and very dirty. I showed the homeowner the condition of the system and made it aware that I can clean and repair the system but I would recommend to replace the system vs making repairs on this system due to age and condition. I did let her know that we do have a free coil for the month of February. This system is running at this time but is dirty and in need of a major cleaning.

12FEB2024 Jason Brown Arrived for club renewal/ fall tune up service. Spoke with homeowner about the systems Performance. It’s working well I’ve been in the home for about four months now. It worked well even in the very cold weather. Inspected furnace coil, and ac. Found the system to be an 18 seer Amana with inverted dc motor. Cleaned flame sensor, checked through safeties, inspected heat exchanger, blower wheel, motor, pressure switches and all components at the furnace. Checked UV Bulb and 20x25x5 filter. Verified no errors in system history. Measured heat rise and delta temperature. Found ductwork in attic has lost its vapor barrier. And found the kitchen exhaust aimed at an attic vent. Discussed findings and airflow/ductwork. System is working properly at this time.

12FEB1024 Jason Brown Arrived for silver club warranty tape repair. Spoke with Jim about the system. We’re doing a remodel and noticed some tape coming off in the back of the furnace closet. Inspected system saw where tape was failing. Built a little stick squeegee and retaped the seam. Applied tape along entire seams and some near to help hold in place. Jake K. I arrived for a previous customer previously location. I arrived and spoke with the tenant and found that the system has not been heating. I inspected the system and found that the unit had no gas to the furnace. I then tracked the gas meter down in the back yard and found the meter in the off position. I let the tenant know the issue and she is tracking down to see why her gas had been shut off. I’m did find the system to be dirty and in need of cleaning but this is not why the system will not come on at this time. I can’t properly check the systems operation without gas supplied to the furnace.

Today I had the pleasure of servicing a 7 year old Carrier Furnace and Condenser Unit. Upon arrival, customer stated that inconsistencies with the air flow between the main portion of home and the back bedroom. Upon visual inspection, I found the system operational. I did note that there were 5 total filters installed and that 2 supply ducts were closed off. I opened the ducts and removed the filters from the system and replaced 1 filter in the furnace cabinet. I then verified all amps, temps, and pressures. During my diagnostic of the furnace, I found everything to be operating at manufactures specifications and airflow greatly improved. After discussing my findings with the homeowner, I explained that only one filter needs to be used and that the lack of airflow stemmed from over filtration. Came out to call for a system not heating properly. Customer had gotten broken into and the person got on the roof a had tampered with the mini split unit. Caused a leak at one of the connections. I fixed the connection, pulled vacuum and charged system with refrigerant. Tested and verified that the system was heating and cooling properly.

07DEC2023 Jason Brown Arrived for silver club fall tune up service. Spoke with homeowner about the systems performance. Spoke with homeowner about Uv, humidifier and equipment performance. It was nice and toasty when I arrived. Adjusted Uvv to 50% per customer request. Cycled the equipment into heating at the thermostat. Removed furnace panels and inspected coil Uv and heat exchanger. Inspected humidifier pad and tested operation. Tightened electrical connections, cleaned flame sensor, ohmed HSI and verified safeties. Ran furnace in all stages tested for monoxide and heat rise. All amps and specs are within the manufacturers range and this system is operating efficiently and safely at this time. 0ppm CO detected. Thanks again guys it was great to see you!

Came out to call for a system not heating properly. Customer stated that she could feel some heat, but it wasn’t a lot. Customer has a package unit with electrical heating elements. I checked the system over and found that one of the heating elements was not operating. I checked the sequencer function and it’s allowing power to the element, but the element itself isn’t functioning. Discussed with customer about repair needed. Customer wanted to replace the heating elements. I picked up new set of elements and swapped them out. Reconnected electrical wiring to new heating elements. Cycled heat on and checked operation. Made sure system completed a heating cycle. Unit is now heating properly.

Jake k. I arrived for a fall tune up on a blue club membership. I first spoke with the homeowner and found that she had one supply grill that was not opening and was not supplying air to her bathroom. We also discussed the thermostat and it’s operation and how the system has been working for her. I first inspected the grills and opened the grill to her liking. I then cycled the system on at the thermostat and checked the systems operation. I found the surge protector to be in working order and the system to cycle on correctly. I then cycled the system on and checked the systems electrical components and brushed the system clean. I cycled the system on and off a couple times and found no issues with the system and how it’s operating.

Jake K. I arrived for a no heat call. I first spoke with the owner and they said we were just out 2-3 weeks ago and the system will not light now. I looked for the customers information and found no history of the customer. I inspected the system and found the control board to not be supplying 120V to the hot surface igniter. I made this aware to the homeowner and they approved for me to replace the control board. I replaced the board and cycled the system on and found it to be running properly. There is a one year warranty on the control board.
